Fun Day

Yesterday we went to Chico to run a couple of errands. The main errand was to get our oil changed in our Jeep which turned out to be quite a disaster. Jiffy Lube broke one of our tire caps and we had to take the Jeep to Les Schwab right after, the whole ordeal took us about 3 hours. Needless to say, we will not be taking our Jeep back to that Jiffy Lube, ever.
But the fun part of the trip was that we also went to Chico to take Brayden to Toys R Us, I signed him up for the birthday club sometime last year and he got his card from Geoffrey in the mail with a couple coupons to redeem. The car said to go up to guest services when we got there to check in. There, they adorned Brayden with a birthday crown and balloon, and sent us on our way with our two coupons, one for a FREE wooden train from the Thomas series (Brayden picked outp Percy) which are $12, EACH! And another $3 off any purchase over $3, which we helped Brayden pickout this really cool toy that shoots plastic balls into the air about 25 feet. He's LOVED chasing the dogs with it, and they love trying to catch the balls. But while we were walking around in Toys R Us, they announced him over the loud speakers! Saying that Brayden the birthday boy was in the store, wearing a crown, and if anyone saw him, make sure and wish him a happy birthday! It was so sweet! The store was pretty empty, but Mike and I thought it was cute. What a fun little trip. I have always thought Toys R Us was a bit overpriced, but I have been very happy with their customer service lately and now this! That was just above and beyond :)! We walked out spending only $1 of our own money.
Then we went to lunch at McDonald's, very rare, and got Brayden a happy meal which came with a Spiderman toy, which he loves too. He actually got to play at the play park at McD's, despite Mommy's worst fears of how insanely dirty those things are. I came with a huge pack of wipes and completely sanitized him when we were done playing, haha.
Just overall, some great little memories :)
