Happy 1 Month Brayden!

Finally some new pictures, actually, a lot of them! Brayden is just so photogenic, so we cant stop snapping pictures of him throughout the days! Most of these pictures are from the last week, but the last several are from today! We cant believe he is already 1 month old, how time flies!

4 weeks old already!

Where does the time go? On Tuesday Brayden will be exactly 1 month old already and we cant believe it!

It's been a busy last few days here in the Kincaid house!

Brayden had his 4 week check up on Friday with Dr. Gold and we are happy to report that Brayden weighed in at 8 lbs and 6 ounces and is right on track for height and head circumference too! He got his 2nd hepatitis B shot and came through like a champ, even got a cool Looney Tunes bandaid, and had to have his little belly button carterized again with silver nitrate because of the gramuola that he has. I looked it up online, and its not dangerous as long as he gets the silver nitrate treatments, and should go away after this last treatment! Thankfully it doesnt hurt him at all! Our Dr. recommended we still keep Brayden in most of the time and not try to brave going out too many places yet as he has had two of his newborn patients had to be hospitalized in the last couple of weeks with illnesses! We definetely dont want that for our little guy, so we'll be waiting to go anywhere with him for awhile still! (Besides family members' houses!)

Also, Brayden got to meet his Aunt Shannon, cousin Ben, Auntie Sarah, and Uncle Brian yesterday! Lots of visitors all in one day and he loved all the attention! In fact, to our surprise, he stayed awake for Auntie Sarah and Uncle Brian's almost whole visit!! He slept great last night which was awesome for Mommy and Daddy!

And today, its just been me and the little guy, as Daddy had watch today on base :(! We definetely miss him a ton and I'm post poning going to bed for as long as I can since I hate going to bed without him! Brayden did have kind of a rough day today and was pretty gassy and was having a hard time pooping but thankfully is feeling better tonight!!!

Auntie Sarah and Uncle Brian got to get a peek at how much Bray likes to squirm around and move his head too! We still have yet to get a really good video of him rolling over to post for everyone, hopefully soon! I got some really cute pictures from bathtime the other day and some other cute pics to post once I have time to download them to the computer! I just wanted to update everyone on whats new with us!

Cant wait for Grandma Jessup to get here this week and then go up and see all of the Kincaid side of our family at the end of the month too! Lots of fun and excitement for the three of us! Love to you all!

Almost 4 weeks old!

I apologize for not updating this for almost a week! I didnt realize it had been that long since i had posted! Things are going great for us! Brayden is growing and getting bigger everyday! We are making sure so enjoy every moment because we know it will go by fast and cant believe this Saturday he will already be 4 weeks old!!

Some things that have happened since the last time we posted are: Brayden got his first tub bath last night and really enjoyed it! The only part he didnt like was getting out! He is eating like a champ, but we are still combining formula and breast feeding. He has had his days and nights confused but had a good night last night! He is finally starting to fit into his actual newborn clothes instead of just the few premie clothes we had! I think he is going to be at least 8.5 lbs when we take him to his 4 week checkup on Friday! Daddy says 9 lbs! And lastly, this last Sunday was Brayden's acutal due date! Its funny to think of that, because I definetely couldnt imagine still being pregnant or going full term with him!

Other than that, we've just been doing the usual stuff, loving being parents and really enjoying this wonderful time as a family!!! August is going to be a very exciting month for us, as Brayden's Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brian come to meet him next week, he gets to meet his Aunt Shannon and cousin Ben and maybe one of his other Uncle Brians (after all, he does have three :) )! And then he gets to meet his Grandma Jessup next week as well, and then in another week, his Grandma and Grandpa Kincaid, his Aunt Katie, Uncle Matt, and cousin Elijah!!! So many people who love him and cant wait to meet him! We love showing him off and we cant wait to see everyone too!!

Roll Baby Roll!

Quick little post! Last night, we had some "tummy time" with Brayden! We've already been amazed at how much he moves his neck and head around, but to our amazement, last night he rolled from his stomach over to his back 3 different times! That might be perfectly normal and right on time, but just seems so amazing to me and Daddy, such a big boy!

Weight Gain!

YAY! We had a very encouraging Dr's appt this morning for our little cutie pie! Brayden now weighs 7lbs and 9 oz! He has gained 6 oz in the last 5 days and Dr. Gold was very happy with that! Seems like the breastfeeding and then formula feeding is working! We now have Brayden on a soy formula as he wasnt handling regular formula, or even another type of lactose free formula. We just started him on the new stuff today, and so far, so good! We have another appt next Friday for his month old check up (can you believe it?!)

Father Son Time

These pictures are so precious and priceless :)! They speak for themselves, except the last one, haha, that's after Daddy was playing with Brayden's face and getting him to make all kinds of silly faces, so cute! :)!

Another Brayden Update

Quick update for you all. Brayden had his early 2 week checkup yesterday at the Dr's office. His thrush is getting much better, thank the Lord, but unfortunately, Brayden isn't gaining enough weight :(. He is a pretty fussy eater and just doesnt like to eat for long most of the time. So for at least the next week, I'm not only going to be breastfeeding him, but supplementing formula after each meal as well to encourage his weight gain. Please keep us in prayer about this! It's really hard to get him to eat sometimes, and especially when he loses interest so early on and we are just praying that we can get him to start eating better, more, and more often!!! Also, our little man had his circumcision yesterday, and came through like a champ. Mommy and Daddy didnt go in the room while he had it, but when they brought him back to us, he only cried for a couple of minutes, we did good naming him Brayden which means Brave in Irish!!

Daddy is in a parade today in Santa Barbara! We got really short notice, aka, late last night, and didnt even know for sure that he was going to be in it until today, so Brayden and I didnt get to go watch him, wish we could have!
